With sandy beaches on one side and the Intracoastal Waterway on the other, Carolina Beach, NC, is a popular camping location with camping in Carolina Beach at Carolina Beach State Park. Carolina Beach State Park, located just over the Snow's Cut Bridge and to the right, offers secluded camping, towering trees, and some of the best fishing around. It's a great spot to pitch a tent, roast marshmallows, and enjoy the great outdoors. If you arrive by boat, you have the extra benefit of a great marina.
Campgrounds nearest the beaches are generally RV towns, and waterway campgrounds are a bit less crowded. Some local marinas also offer camping. For fishing gear, a fishing license or other equipment or supplies, visit the local tackle and hardware stores, or a marina where you'll usually find groceries as well. Several businesses in the area rent small boats, canoes and kayaks, and fishing charters are also available.
