October 2020 TBA  When the weather's warm, the sun's shining and the ocean breezes are fluttering, the Pleasure Island Seafood, Blues and Jazz Festival is the place to be. This popular event happens at the Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area in Kure Beach along the Cape Fear River. Music lovers revel in non-stop jazz and blues performed by nationally and regionally recognized musicians on two stages while scrumptious seafood from among the area's best restaurants is served.

Participants can browse the Arts & Wine Garden, shop for crafts, and enjoy fine wine tasting. For the kids, there is a special KidZone with inflatable amusements, magicians, face painters and much more. No coolers, pets, cameras or videos, or weapons are allowed. Gates open at 10 AM.
